Prayer Journal live on DIYPlanner
Finding new and interesting links for Computeractive occasionally throws up some real gems and DIYPlanner.com has been particularly rewarding. As memory serves I found it thanks to Lifehacker.com. Even I didn’t I still recommend taking a look as it has lots of helpful advice.
DIYPlanner site is created and run by enthusiasts for paper based organisation, be it a Filofax or something of your own creation. There are lots of templates and users are encouraged to create their own.
I’ve written about the site for www.thesheepdip.co.uk and while I was doing so I thought I’d give creating my own template a go. Making a Prayer Journal seemed to fit the bill for The Sheepdip and also make up the shortfalls in using standard ToDo lists. You might not want to simply tick a request, or perhaps you want to add more information.
It’s the first time I’ve tried something like this but the Widget kit from DIYPlanner was very helpful. I might have prefered to do the editing in Xara Xtreme, but OpenOffice Draw isn’t that bad.
Well it’s now live so please give it a go and I’m open to feedback and suggestions (as long as they’re constructive of course)
